Plan Your Lake Conroe Cruise

The Southern Empress offers our guests unforgettable evenings filled with dining, drinks, and dancing. By coming aboard, you’ll enjoy dinner on the main deck, party on the Magnolia deck, where the DJ and cash bar keep the good times going, and watch the sunset over the lake on the Texas and Hurricane decks.

The Southern Empress

Built in 1983 in a Mississippi shipyard, the 131-foot paddle-wheeler was cut into sections, then transported by 27 semi trucks to the captive waters of Lake Conroe, at Seven Coves. There the craft was reassembled and finishing touches were added. It was then launched as one of the lake’s most recognizable icons.

The Southern Empress has been featured in many blogs and magazines. The Empress hosts private and public cruises year round; from the annual Fourth of July cruise to company Christmas parties.

Very Relaxing and enjoyable 3 hours

My wife and I had a great time. The ship was older but that was what was classic about it. Food was excellent. Met and talked with the owner. Very informative. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. We have already recommended this to our friends and plan on cruising again.

Fun and great experience

My husband and I went for a date night on the dinner cruise. We had a lot of fun. It was also nice to do something different than the standard dinner and movie. The staff was very friendly. I feel like some of the reviews that you find on google are really unfair and unjustified. We will most likely book with Southern Empress Cruises again sometime in the future.

Relaxing Ending to Anniversary Trip

My husband and I decided to end our anniversary stay at La Torretta Resort and Spa by taking a trip on the Southern Empress. We are thrilled with our experience. The food was delicious.

A great evening on the lake

The owner came by and introduced himself and asked if he could do anything to make our cruise better which was very nice of him. The price was very reasonable for a three hour cruise with dinner included.
